The Spatial Cognition conferences form a series of biannual interdisciplinary events dedicated to all aspects of intelligent spatial information processing in humans and technical systems. The series originated from various workshops and colloquia that have been organized in the framework of the Spatial Cognition Priority Program that has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1996 to 2002. The first Spatial Cognition conference proper in this series was held in 2004. All conferences, as well as the above-mentioned workshops have been documented in the Spatial Cognition book series published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series.
