Research Assistant / Research Fellow

Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D)
Responsibilities:
1) to design, maintain, and implement mobile software for use under adverse conditions;
2) to supervise student software development projects for computer science and digital media students;
3) to build upon the Capacity Lab’s activities in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and help expand the network of research and development partners;
4) to publish research results in international peer-reviewed outlets;
5) to assist in seeking external funding for future activities.
Required qualifications and experience: Applicants should have
- A master or PhD in computer science or a closely related discipline
- A strong motivation to research and develop ICT concepts of particular relevance to developing societies, such as health, education, agriculture, disaster management, or livelihood
- Good communication skills for collaboration with national and international partners
- Interest in project acquisition
- Good team player skills
